… to be contined :P

What does the word “Rhodes” refer to;> i found on the internet that there is even a fashion house named “Rhodes & Beckett”. That is an Australian trademark, the company produces clothes made of finest Egyptian cotton.

Yet Rhodes & Beckett cannot be the topic of a post on a blog devoted to Rhodes, an island located in Greece.

Waterpark in Rhodes has also been accuratley described in this blog… Huh, so what can be the idea for the next post? I though about writing something about the society of Rhodes.

As this tiny island is a part of Greece it is not hard to guess what kind of lifestyle people living here are most likely to lead. Patriarchal seems to be just the most suitable word. Family is the foundation of Greek culture. Strong tights, relations that demand sacrifices. We know it well from many films that present Greek reality. It may seem strange to many foreigners how strong the power of the head of the family may be. How huge impact may he < as it is a man most of the times> wiled on the members of his family. This society is therefore a really tightly knit group of people, all of them seem to obey similar rules and regulations, family is the most important and precious thing in life. And that attitude, to some  degree, could be adopted by some western societies…
