Southern tip of Europe and the weather there

The weather on the south of Europe is nearly all of the year sunny and warm, providing the island with holiday atmosphere whatever the season. The climate there can be described by the word ’subtropical’. Hardly ever  any rainy day appears, more often there are showers during the night that clear the air a bit and make mornings on Rhodes fresh and awaking.

Greece in after all a holiday paradise.

“Under the same blue of the sky of Rodos, but different, untouched still, with its own atmosphere, the southern part of the island lies in wait for visitors, to delight them with its own special charms.” - that is a description of a beach in  southern Rhodes found on www site. The beach in
Prassonisi, located on the very tip of the southern part of Rhodes is best accesible by a jeep car. Strong winds that are very common there make the place a perfect destination for windsurfers. In Prassonisi there is a border between Aegeyan Sea and Mediterranean Sea. A curious fact is that when the sea level is lower, especially during summer, Prassonisi is  a peninsula yet when the waters rise a narrow connection disappears under waves and Prasonissi is made an island.
