Rhodes across India: what does it mean?

Rhodes , apart from being the undeniable jewel of Dodekanese archipelagois simply a word. A set of letters, that sound in a particular way. And that word does not only mean the Greek island. For example<those who are interested in cooking will be well-informed> there is a man, called Gary Rhodes, a cook that is extremely popular in Great Britain. He is a talented cook as well as very imaginative, His adventure with cooking began when he was 14 and because his mother went back to work at that time he was made to be able to cook for himself. He graduated from a college in Kent, then worked in Amsterdam Hilton, there he was badly hit by a tram and had to undergo a serious brian surgery. That particular event in his life made him very determined to succeed in his chosen field, or vocation rater: he wanted to become a renown cook.

And so, now in British television he has got his own show, called “Rhodes across India”. He was sent to India by his boss to learn Indian cooking techniques and to show them later on the air. ” Rhodes across India” is a great programme in which you can learn many interesting things about Indian cuisine as well as see outstanding photographs of that beautiful land. Photographs taken by Gary or by others, they make a perfect background for Indian cuisine, just regret it that television is not able to transfer smells!
