The Greek  island of Rhodes, situated only few kilometres from Turkish coastline, does offer a true array of possibilities of spending holidays. There are resorts offering the hustle and bustle of a busy city, perfect for young and people that are hungry for parties that last till daylight. Yet there are also places offering an undulterated pleasure of spending few days in total silence. One of these towns is Lardos, situated only 7 km south from Lindos.

Beaches there are sandy and never overcrowded as more busy resorts of the western coast of the island are more popular among tourists coming to Rhodes. Decidedly the biggest advantage of the town is the wide beach that is lined up with innumerable cafes, restaurants and tavernas. Each of them guarantees a beautiful view of the Aegean Sea as well as inimitable taste of Greek cuisine.

For those that are more interested in active spending of their free time there are places to rent equipment for practising watersports. As that part of the coast is oftenly sweeped by strong winds it is a perfect location for practising windsurfing as well as parachuting. Enthusiasts of these sports annually onslaught that part of the coast, moreover, the beach there is usually nearly empty what makes the place even better for them.

The old town constitutes a huge part of the whole town. Lardos is truly a maze of winding, cobbled, narrow streets. Perfect for those who love that Greek spirit.
